HEVC Decoder

High Efficiency Video Coding (commonly known as HEVC or H.265) is the most recent ITU-T and ISO/IEC recommendation, promising much increased compression efficiency in video coding and paving the way to new horizons in video applications.

ParaQum Technologies had been among the first in the world to start developing an HEVC decoder IP core. In late 2014 ParaQum Technologies became the first in the world to do a real time H.265 decoding of a 4K video on an FPGA.

Our decoder IP for H.265 is capable of decoding up to 30 fps in 4K / 120 fps in HD and enables simultaneous decoding of up to 16 multiple SD streams on commercial grade FPGA. This video decoder can be used as a complete broadcasting solution with an inclusive AAC audio decoder, but also can be integrated with custom audio decoders. Hence our IP core offers much flexibility and a wide range of customization depending to meet client requirement.

HEVC Encoder

High Efficiency Video Coding (commonly known as HEVC or H.265) is the most recent ITU-T and ISO/IEC recommendation, promising much increased compression efficiency in video coding and paving the way to new horizons in video applications.

ParaQum Technologies real-time H.265 encoder IP core offers high customizability and is initially optimized for FPGAs. The initial version will be available in All-Intra configuration offering scalability up to HD and 30 fps. Complete encoder including random access and low delay configurations up to 4K capability will soon follow.

HEVC-SCC Encoder

High Efficiency Video Coding (commonly known as HEVC or H.265) by ITU-T and ISO/IEC introduced a new version to cater to screen content coding. Screen content is a growing area in video production mainly as text and graphics with motion and animation. The new version offers increased compression efficiency, and is among the first to take advantage of the unique features in screen content.

ParaQum Technologies is among the first in the world to develop hardware video coding solutions with HEVC-SCC, and will be launching its initial SCC encoder in 2018.
